Free tournament tools

Small tools for the maths every organizer and team ends up doing in a spreadsheet: who plays whom, who gets a bye, how the prize money splits, how long the day will take, what a LAN costs, how ratings move and when to scrim. They run entirely in your browser, need no account and work offline once the page has loaded.

How the tools fit together

Planning an event. Start with the LAN event budget calculator if it is offline, then the time estimator to see which format fits your day and your number of stations. Rank your entrants with the seeding tool, draw the structure with the bracket generator, or run a Swiss event with the Swiss pairing calculatorwhen you want more games per player than elimination gives. Turn entry fees into a payout table with the prize pool calculator.

Running a team or a ladder. The Elo rating calculator shows how ratings move, which is useful both for your own league table and for understanding a game’s ladder. Thescrim schedule planner turns practice evenings into a minute-by-minute plan and a calendar file.

How we keep the maths right

The logic behind each tool is a small, separate piece of code that we check against facts you can verify by hand: a single-elimination bracket always has one match fewer than entrants, a double-elimination bracket has two fewer than twice the entrants, a round robin has N×(N−1)/2 matches, a Swiss round never pairs the same two players when a legal alternative exists, a payout table always adds up to the pool to the cent, Elo ratings are conserved between two players with the same K-factor, a scrim plan never overlaps its own blocks and a LAN budget’s break-even is the smallest number of entries that really breaks even. If you find a case where a tool disagrees with a rule you use, tell us through the contact page.

Privacy

Names, results and amounts you type are processed in your browser and are not sent to a server. The share links on each tool store your inputs in the part of the address after the#, which browsers keep to themselves. Anyone you give the link to can read the contents, so do not put anything private into a link you plan to share.

Who runs this site

Tournament Click is operated by the team behind TournamentSuite, a platform for running esports tournaments. The tools are free to use and are not gated behind that product; each tool page says where a TournamentSuite feature covers the same job in a live event. How we write and review content is described in our editorial policy.
